Minting and Inscription Services
The Minting and Inscription Services within Rune Smith allow users to not only create new tokens but also to modify and enhance existing ones. Minting involves generating new tokens with user-defined attributes, while the Inscription Service adds additional layers of customization after tokens are already in circulation.
Customization at Creation: During the minting process, users can set foundational attributes such as the token's name, divisibility, and symbol, tailoring the token to specific needs right from the start.
Post-Issue Enhancement: The Inscription Service provides a mechanism for adding or updating metadata and attributes on tokens post-issuance, which is ideal for projects that evolve or expand over time.
Adaptability: These features make digital assets more adaptable to changing market conditions and user needs, ensuring tokens remain relevant and valuable.
User Guide:
Initiating Minting:
To mint new tokens, access the Rune Smith Telegram bot and select the ‘Mint Tokens’ option.
Enter the desired attributes for your token: name, total supply, divisibility, and symbol. These attributes define the token’s basic characteristics and how it will function within the blockchain ecosystem.
Confirm the details and submit the minting request. The bot will process the minting transaction, broadcasting it to the blockchain and creating the tokens as specified.
Using the Inscription Service:
After tokens are minted, you may want to add or update their attributes as your project develops. Access the ‘Inscribe Tokens’ option from the main menu.
Specify the token contract or identifier and the new attributes or metadata you wish to add. This could include enhancements such as usage rights, ownership history, or specific user privileges.
Review the changes to ensure they accurately reflect your intentions. Confirm to proceed, and the bot will update the existing tokens on the blockchain with the new attributes.
Managing Token Attributes:
Both during and after minting, Rune Smith provides tools to manage and review token attributes effectively.
Users can view detailed information about token attributes and edit them as needed through the bot’s management interface. This is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and relevance of token information.
